LaRae is a self-taught visual artist born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, where she continues to live and create. What began as a response to financial uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic quickly revealed itself to be a deeper calling—an intuitive, healing journey through color, texture, and self-expression. With a background in Child Education and a degree from North Carolina Central University, LaRae infuses her art with compassion, reflection, and the desire to uplift others through creative connection.
Her practice specializes in acrylic painting and expressive portraiture, with a strong focus on feminine identity, emotion, and inner strength. Her bold yet tender use of color and form tells stories of womanhood—of joy, complexity, resilience, and reclamation.
