Simms’ career spans multiple roles—art director, instructor, and muralist—across institutions from senior centers to youth programs, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware and the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. His teaching philosophy prioritizes clarity, comfort, and creative empowerment across all ages and backgrounds.

As a graphic communicator, his work has extended into television, film, and public art, with commissions housed in private and corporate collections worldwide. His pieces have reached international acclaim, with works gifted to King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, as well as notable American figures like Brock Peters and Ambassador Dr. Martin Butora.

Whether designing a historical mural or leading a drawing class, Simms continues to share art as both a technical discipline and a spiritual journey. His enduring legacy lies in his ability to connect generations through the language of image, memory, and mentorship.
